What is particular

We service Elica wall-mount, island, ceiling and under-cabinet hoods, insert models such as Arezzo, Asti and Umbria, and the Rise downdraft. US manuals list the model number on the cover, which is the fastest way to find the right parts.

Signals hide in the first seconds

On the Haiku the filter warning only shows during the first 10 seconds after the hood is switched on, as a slow or quick flash on two keys. We switch the hood on in front of you and read it before replacing anything.

A heat sensor that writes CArE

The Pilato's control raises the blower to third speed on its own when the air around it passes about 149°F and shows CArE. A hood that will not slow down may simply be too close to high heat.

Washable charcoal on some models

The Haiku uses an activated carbon filter that can be washed about every two months and dried, rather than thrown away. Knowing which type you have changes the maintenance plan.

Charcoal alarm is a setting

On the Pilato, charcoal filtering can be included or excluded from the keypad, and excluding it disables the charcoal alarm. A ducted hood asking for charcoal is a setup issue we can correct on the spot.

Parts

Elica US hoods are imported through its North American arm, so boards, LED lamps and filters are ordered by the exact model number printed on the manual and the rating label. Carbon and grease filters are the most common orders.

Repair or replace

A new LED lamp, a filter, a keypad or a blower capacitor is almost always worth doing on an Elica, since the hood's glass and steel body rarely wear out. If the control board is discontinued for an older model, replacement can be the better use of money.
