What is particular
to Fulgor Milano.

The Distinto list covers the F4CW chimney hoods, the F4UC under-cabinet hoods and the F4BP inserts; the Professional list covers the F6PH and F6CK pro hoods, the F6PC chimney hoods and the F6BP inserts. Knob, slider or push-button control is the first thing to note when you book.

A 30-hour filter clock

Fulgor asks for the metal filters to be cleaned every 30 hours of running, and its electronic panels keep count. When the red light stays on with the timer off, the count has run out, and holding the timer key for three seconds resets it.

One knob per motor

The dual-blower Professional hoods and inserts carry a separate knob for each motor. A hood that pulls weakly on one side is often a single blower down while the other runs, so each knob is tested on its own.

Speeds that were capped on purpose

Some Fulgor hoods have a Power Dampening System that lets the installer cut the top speed from four speeds to three or two to meet make-up air rules. Fulgor states the change cannot be undone, so a missing top speed may be a setting rather than a failure.

Speed four is short by design

On the electronic panel the fourth speed runs for a few minutes with the plus key blinking, then drops to third on its own. That timed step down is normal and not a sign of an overheating blower.

Parts

Fulgor Milano's own US site now refuses automated requests and much of its documentation is reached through archived copies, so parts are best ordered by the full model code from the label inside the hood. Charcoal filter kits are listed per model (FMFIL, FMFILCW).

Repair or replace

A slider, a knob switch, a light or a capacitor is a sensible repair on a Fulgor hood that still pulls well. On a dual-motor Professional hood, one failed blower is normally replaced rather than the whole hood.

Why is the red light steady on my Fulgor Milano hood?
On the electronic push-button panel, a steady red light with the timer off is the filter reminder after about 30 hours of use. Clean the metal filters, then hold the timer key for three seconds to reset it.
My Fulgor Milano hood no longer reaches its top speed. Why?
Speed four runs only a few minutes before dropping to three, which is normal. If the hood never offers four speeds at all, it may have been limited by the Power Dampening System during installation; if it lost speeds it used to have, book a visit.
What does the red light on a Fulgor slider mean?
On the slider-controlled hoods, the red light simply shows the motor is running. It is not a warning.
Does Fulgor Milano make an island hood?
The Fulgor Milano US lists we could check show chimney, under-cabinet and insert hoods, and no island model. For an island, their inserts can go into a custom enclosure.
