What Wi-Fi indicator flashing
actually means.

On the ZVW professional hoods a 3-second hold on LOW starts the Wi-Fi connection; on the ZVWS pyramid hoods it is a 3-second hold on FAN. The indicator flashes until the hood joins your network and then stays lit. Once connected, the app handles fan speed, light level and the night light schedule.

What to do when Wi-Fi indicator flashing shows on the range hood

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Monogram's own guidance for Wi-Fi indicator flashing on its range hoods. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Open SmartHQ and add the hood while the light flashes.

02

Keep the Wi-Fi password to hand and install any update the app offers.

03

If it never connects, restart the router and repeat the 3-second hold.

04

If the hood keeps dropping off a working network, book a visit.

Cleared?

The code is gone and the blower pulls steam up on every speed again without a new part. If it returns this week, or the filter reminder keeps coming back right after a cleaning, mention it in the booking.

What not to do

A flashing Wi-Fi light is not a problem with the fan or lights, which still run from the pads. Chef Connect pairing uses different lights.

What you may
notice with it.

The range hood problems Wi-Fi indicator flashing tends to arrive with. Answer these at the range hood before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

The hood is doing something it was told to do, not wearing out: a delay-off timer that keeps the blower running for some minutes after the burners go off, a heat sentry that starts the fan by itself when it senses a hot pan, a Sabbath setting that locks the keys and dims the lights, or a link to the cooking surface that sets the speed on its own. No part is needed; a key sequence from the manual, or simply waiting, ends it.

Questions
about Wi-Fi indicator flashing.

Can I clear Wi-Fi indicator flashing myself?
Open SmartHQ and add the hood while the light flashes.
How do I connect my Monogram hood to Wi-Fi?
Hold LOW for 3 seconds on a professional ZVW hood, or FAN for 3 seconds on a pyramid hood, then finish in SmartHQ.
Why is my Monogram hood's Wi-Fi light still flashing?
Setup was not completed in the app. Add the hood in SmartHQ, and the light goes steady once it is connected.
Do I need Wi-Fi on my Monogram hood?
Only for app control and, on the pyramid hoods, for the air-quality light to work.

Still showing Wi-Fi indicator flashing?

Three things make the booking useful: the letters or blink pattern exactly as they showed, the full model number from the label behind the filters, and whether the fan still moves air on every speed. With those, the technician arrives with half the answer already worked out.
