What C
actually means.

Clean air mode on the KG hoods runs the blower at first speed for ten minutes every hour. During the run, segments circle around the display; between runs the motor stops and a fixed C stays on the display until the next cycle starts 50 minutes later.

What to do when C shows on the range hood

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Bertazzoni's own guidance for C on its range hoods. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

If you meant to use clean air mode, leave it alone; the hood will keep cycling on its own.

02

To stop it, press button E (the timer key) again, or press any key other than the light keys to go back to normal use.

03

If the C stays on and the hood never runs again, book a visit for the control board.

Cleared?

The code is gone and the blower pulls steam up on every speed again without a new part. If it returns this week, or the filter reminder keeps coming back right after a cleaning, mention it in the booking.

What not to do

A steady C is not the charcoal filter reminder, which flashes and alternates with F. It also does not mean the blower has stalled; the motor is resting between clean air cycles.

What you may
notice with it.

The range hood problems C tends to arrive with. Answer these at the range hood before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

The hood is doing something it was told to do, not wearing out: a delay-off timer that keeps the blower running for some minutes after the burners go off, a heat sentry that starts the fan by itself when it senses a hot pan, a Sabbath setting that locks the keys and dims the lights, or a link to the cooking surface that sets the speed on its own. No part is needed; a key sequence from the manual, or simply waiting, ends it.

Questions
about C.

Can I clear C myself?
If you meant to use clean air mode, leave it alone; the hood will keep cycling on its own.
Why does my Bertazzoni hood start up by itself every hour?
Clean air mode is on. It runs the blower for ten minutes each hour and shows a steady C in between; press E to switch it off.
How did clean air mode get turned on on my Bertazzoni KG hood?
Holding the timer key E for two seconds with the hood off starts it, so it can happen while wiping the panel.
Is it safe to leave a Bertazzoni hood in clean air mode?
It is a designed function and runs only at low speed. If the hood runs longer than ten minutes at a time, book a visit.

Still showing C?

Three things make the booking useful: the letters or blink pattern exactly as they showed, the full model number from the label behind the filters, and whether the fan still moves air on every speed. With those, the technician arrives with half the answer already worked out.
