On the WPP1, Heat Sentry reacts to excess heat inside the hood by taking the blower off speed 4 for 10 minutes and holding it at speed 3. During that time speed 4 flashes and speed 3 stays lit. The same device can start the blower during a fire on the burners even if the hood was off.
