Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 398-3217

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Bertazzoni's own guidance for 4 on its range hoods. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Leave it to finish; it drops back to speed 3 after six minutes.

02

Press the speed key again to move on through the speeds if you want less air sooner.

03

If the 4 blinks and the blower does not get louder, book a visit to check the blower and its capacitor.

Cleared?

The code is gone and the blower pulls steam up on every speed again without a new part. If it returns this week, or the filter reminder keeps coming back right after a cleaning, mention it in the booking.

What not to do

A blinking 4 is not an alarm; it is how the hood shows that the high setting is on a timer. A 4 that drops to 3 by itself after six minutes is normal and not a sign of overheating.

What you may
notice with it.

The range hood problems 4 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the range hood before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

The hood is doing something it was told to do, not wearing out: a delay-off timer that keeps the blower running for some minutes after the burners go off, a heat sentry that starts the fan by itself when it senses a hot pan, a Sabbath setting that locks the keys and dims the lights, or a link to the cooking surface that sets the speed on its own. No part is needed; a key sequence from the manual, or simply waiting, ends it.

In Bertazzoni's own words

When there is a 4° speed (Intensive speed) on the display blinking “4” and after 6 minutes the speed came back to 3° speed.

Questions
about 4.

Can I clear 4 myself?
Leave it to finish; it drops back to speed 3 after six minutes.
Why won't the timer start on my Bertazzoni KG hood?
The 15-minute timer is blocked while intensive speed is on. Wait for the 4 to stop blinking, or step down a speed, then press the timer key.
Why does my Bertazzoni drop from 4 to 3 during cooking?
Intensive speed is timed at six minutes and then returns to speed 3. Press the speed key again to restart it.
Is a blinking 4 on a Bertazzoni hood a problem with the display?
No. The blink is intentional and marks the timed speed.

Back to your everyday

Still showing 4?

Three things make the booking useful: the letters or blink pattern exactly as they showed, the full model number from the label behind the filters, and whether the fan still moves air on every speed. With those, the technician arrives with half the answer already worked out.
