What Digital Timer flashing
actually means.

The touch version of the 600 Series under-cabinet hood needs a speed after power is pressed. The digital timer flashes, and if no speed key is touched within ten seconds the hood turns itself off again. The same timer flashes briefly when the power-off delay is set.

What to do when Digital Timer flashing shows on the range hood

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from ZLINE's own guidance for Digital Timer flashing on its range hoods. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Touch power, then a speed key while the timer is flashing.

02

To set the delay, touch Power-Off Delay while the fans run; while it flashes, touch it again to add minutes, up to 60.

03

If the panel ignores touches while the timer flashes, book a visit to check the touch board.

Cleared?

The code is gone and the blower pulls steam up on every speed again without a new part. If it returns this week, or the filter reminder keeps coming back right after a cleaning, mention it in the booking.

What not to do

A flashing timer that then goes dark is the ten-second limit, not a dead keypad. Changing speed during the delay does not reset the countdown.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

The hood is doing something it was told to do, not wearing out: a delay-off timer that keeps the blower running for some minutes after the burners go off, a heat sentry that starts the fan by itself when it senses a hot pan, a Sabbath setting that locks the keys and dims the lights, or a link to the cooking surface that sets the speed on its own. No part is needed; a key sequence from the manual, or simply waiting, ends it.

In ZLINE's own words

The Digital Timer on the left will flash. If a Speed Control button is not touched within 10 seconds, power will automatically turn off.

Still showing Digital Timer flashing?

Three things make the booking useful: the letters or blink pattern exactly as they showed, the full model number from the label behind the filters, and whether the fan still moves air on every speed. With those, the technician arrives with half the answer already worked out.
