Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 398-3217

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Viking's own guidance for Fourth white LED lit on its range hoods. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Use power mode only for short bursts of heavy smoke or steam.

02

Expect it to fall back to speed 3 after 6 minutes; that is normal.

03

If the fan will not leave power mode, or the motor cuts out and restarts, book a visit.

Cleared?

The code is gone and the blower pulls steam up on every speed again without a new part. If it returns this week, or the filter reminder keeps coming back right after a cleaning, mention it in the booking.

What not to do

The fourth LED is not an alarm. A motor that switches off and on again by itself is the thermal switch reacting to overheating, which Viking says needs its cause found.

notice with it.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

The hood is doing something it was told to do, not wearing out: a delay-off timer that keeps the blower running for some minutes after the burners go off, a heat sentry that starts the fan by itself when it senses a hot pan, a Sabbath setting that locks the keys and dims the lights, or a link to the cooking surface that sets the speed on its own. No part is needed; a key sequence from the manual, or simply waiting, ends it.

Questions
about Fourth white LED lit.

Can I clear Fourth white LED lit myself?
Use power mode only for short bursts of heavy smoke or steam.
Why did my Viking ceiling hood slow down by itself?
Power mode lasts 6 minutes and then returns to speed 3. Choose power mode again if you still need it.
Is it bad to run a Viking ceiling hood in power mode?
Viking asks that its use be kept to a minimum, for strong smoke, smells or steam, because of the large air volume it moves.
My Viking ceiling hood motor stops and starts again. Is that power mode?
No. Viking describes a thermal switch that stops the motor when it overheats, from causes such as a pan fire or a blocked opening. Book a visit so the cause can be found.

Still showing Fourth white LED lit?

Three things make the booking useful: the letters or blink pattern exactly as they showed, the full model number from the label behind the filters, and whether the fan still moves air on every speed. With those, the technician arrives with half the answer already worked out.
