Elica Haiku T5 key flashing on its own: speed 5 is selected

T5 handles both speed 4 and speed 5: one press gives speed 4, a second press gives speed 5, and the key flashes while speed 5 is running.

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 398-3217

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Elica's own guidance for Speed 4/5 key flashing on its range hoods. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Press T5 once to go back to speed 4, or pick a lower speed key.

02

Use speed 5 for heavy smoke and drop back afterward to cut noise.

03

If T5 flashes but the fan does not speed up, book a visit to check the blower and control.

Cleared?

The code is gone and the blower pulls steam up on every speed again without a new part. If it returns this week, or the filter reminder keeps coming back right after a cleaning, mention it in the booking.

What not to do

A single flashing T5 is not the filter warning, which uses T5 and T6 together in the first 10 seconds after switch-on. It is not a failure of the key either.

What you may
notice with it.

The range hood problems Speed 4/5 key flashing tends to arrive with. Answer these at the range hood before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

The hood is doing something it was told to do, not wearing out: a delay-off timer that keeps the blower running for some minutes after the burners go off, a heat sentry that starts the fan by itself when it senses a hot pan, a Sabbath setting that locks the keys and dims the lights, or a link to the cooking surface that sets the speed on its own. No part is needed; a key sequence from the manual, or simply waiting, ends it.

Questions
about Speed 4/5 key flashing.

Can I clear Speed 4/5 key flashing myself?
Press T5 once to go back to speed 4, or pick a lower speed key.
Why is one key blinking on my Elica Haiku?

How do I leave speed 5 on an Elica Haiku?
Press T5 again for speed 4, or choose T2 to T4 for lower speeds.
Is speed 5 bad for my Elica blower?
No, it is a normal setting. It is simply the loudest and best kept for heavy cooking.

Still showing Speed 4/5 key flashing?

Three things make the booking useful: the letters or blink pattern exactly as they showed, the full model number from the label behind the filters, and whether the fan still moves air on every speed. With those, the technician arrives with half the answer already worked out.
