Faber, founded in Fabriano, Italy in 1955 and part of the Franke Group, sells wall, island and ceiling, insert, pro and under-cabinet, integrated and downdraft hoods in the US through faberonline.com. Its US hoods come with airflow options (295, 395 or 600 CFM) and button controls that count filter hours, so a repair call often begins with how the hood was set up. We then test the blower, its speeds and the lighting. We repair Faber wall hoods such as Stilo and Dama, island and ceiling hoods like Highlight and Stratus Isola, Inca inserts, Breva and Camino pro and under-cabinet hoods, and integrated and downdraft models. The installation guide for each model is posted on its faberonline.com product page. ### Airflow limits that stick Faber installers can cap a hood below 295 or 395 CFM, and the guides say that cannot be undone. On a capped hood the top speed or intensive button stops working, which owners sometimes mistake for a dead keypad. ### Hour-counted filter alarms Faber counts 100 working hours before asking for clean grease filters and 200 before asking for charcoal. A steady light and a flashing light on the same button mean different filters. ### Intensive is a timed burst The top intensive speed runs 6 or 10 minutes depending on the model and then drops back. A hood that seems to slow down by itself is usually just finishing that timer. ### Franke stands behind it In the US, Faber-branded hoods are covered by Franke, and the guide gives two years on labor and replacement parts for standard residential use. We note the purchase date on the first visit so you know where you stand. Parts Faber publishes a separate parts document for many models alongside the guide, which helps match boards, blowers and lamps by part number. Charcoal and grease filters are the most frequent orders. Repair or replace A Faber with a failed keypad, lamp or blower is normally worth repairing, especially an insert built into cabinetry. If a limited-airflow hood is too weak for the burners, the fix is a different hood or duct, not a repair. Book your Faber visit ## What we are called out for.
