A hood that will not slow down may simply be too close to high heat. ### Washable charcoal on some models The Haiku uses an activated carbon filter that can be washed about every two months and dried, rather than thrown away. Knowing which type you have changes the maintenance plan. ### Charcoal alarm is a setting On the Pilato, charcoal filtering can be included or excluded from the keypad, and excluding it disables the charcoal alarm. A ducted hood asking for charcoal is a setup issue we can correct on the spot. Carbon and grease filters are the most common orders. Repair or replace A new LED lamp, a filter, a keypad or a blower capacitor is almost always worth doing on an Elica, since the hood's glass and steel body rarely wear out. The heat sensor has found the area around the control too hot and set the fan to third speed. It clears on its own when things cool. ### How can I tell which filter my Elica Haiku wants?
