Café's own hoods are commercial-style: the CVW9304 and CVW9364 commercial hoods with the QuietBoost blower and Wi-Fi, the CVW7301 and CVW7361 glass canopy chimney hoods and the 48-inch professional hood, with Café's site also offering island chimney hoods, custom inserts and telescopic downdrafts from the GE Appliances universal line. The commercial hoods can hang on a wall or under a soffit or cabinet, and their button lights carry most of what the hood has to say. We work on Café commercial hoods, glass canopy chimney hoods, the 48-inch professional hood and older Café commercial hoods, plus the island chimney hoods, custom inserts and telescopic downdrafts sold on Café's site. The model and serial label is on the inside of the hood. ### The buttons speak in blinks On the Café commercial hood, a rolling blink across Low, Med and High means Delay Off is counting down 15 minutes, and a blinking High means Boost is running. We read those patterns before treating a blinking keypad as a board problem. ### One hood, two mountings The commercial hood can be fixed to the wall or tucked underneath a soffit or cabinet with an alternate mounting method. On a visit we check which was used, because the mounting changes how the hood is lowered for blower work. ### Duct size is printed in the manual Café states 8-inch ducting for the commercial hood and 6-inch for the glass canopy hood, and says its technicians cannot fix noise or weak draw caused by a smaller duct. We measure the duct before condemning the blower. ### LED lamps are a service item On the commercial hood, Café asks owners to schedule service to change the LED lamps rather than swapping them at home. The glass canopy models use halogen lights with an On, Night and Off button. Parts Recirculating Café commercial hoods take the UXCF91 charcoal filter, which cannot be cleaned and is best replaced every 6 months. Blowers, LED lamps and control boards are ordered by the model and serial number from the label inside the hood. Repair or replace On a Café commercial hood, the QuietBoost blower, keypad and Wi-Fi module are all repairable, and the heavy stainless shell is worth keeping. Replacement comes up mainly when a hood was installed on the wrong duct size and the run cannot be changed. Book your Café visit ## What we are called out for. That rolling blink means Delay Off is on: the fan will switch itself off after 15 minutes. It starts when Power is held for 3 seconds, so nothing is wrong. ### My Café hood keeps shutting off and coming back on. What does that mean? Café's troubleshooting links this to the motor overheating and turning itself off, which can harm the motor. Clean the filters first; if the cycling continues, book a visit. ### Why is my Café hood loud even on low speed? Café points first to the duct: the commercial hood needs 8-inch ducting and the glass canopy hood 6-inch, and a smaller duct or a damper blade that has flipped will roar. We can check the damper and duct on a visit. ### How do I connect my Café hood to Wi-Fi? Hold the Low button for 3 seconds; the Wi-Fi light starts flashing, then stays on once connected, and you finish setup in the SmartHQ app. If it will not stay connected after a router check, book a visit. --- **[Read on the site: Café Range Hood Repair | RangeHoodeRepair.center](https://rangehooderepair.center/brands/cafe/)** **[Book a visit with RangeHoodeRepair.center](https://rangehooderepair.center/schedule/)**
